Gender Equity participation by AICUF

The college has ensured that all students download the Disha App for their safety and security.

The Department of Social Work in collaboration with the AP Women’s Commission, organized an inauguration program on “Women’s Dignity Day” on 07-07-2023.

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Maris Stella College organized an impactful one-day workshop on "Countering Sexual Harassment and Gender Equity." on 4-12-2023.

The institution conducted a session on Women's Safety Taekwondo, Self-Defense on 5-12-2023. Department of Social Work Celebrated National Girl Child Day on 24-01-2024.

Women Empowerment Cell organized a Guest Lecture as part of International Women’s Day celebrations on 06-03-2024.

Field Visits

Field visits play a vital role in enhancing the practical knowledge and exposure to students across various disciplines.

 

·         Second and third-year B.Sc. CBZ students explored the realms of silk reeling at Andhra Pradesh Silk Reeling Unit-II in Telaprolu and aquaculture at the Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Aquaculture Tilapia in Kandalampadu on 12 October 2023.

 

Holistic Education:

A one-day leadership workshop was organized for first and second-degree students on 22 February 2024. A total of 600 students benefited from it.

 

Students from the Departments of Chemistry, Zoology, Biotechnology, and Food Science & Technology, in collaboration with Little Flower Degree College, Hyderabad, Telangana, actively participated in a One-Day Symposium and Exhibition on the occasion of National Science Day with the theme "Indigenous Technologies for Viksit Bharat" on 28 February 2024.

 

An exhibition on Service Learning was organized by the Service-Learning Committee on 8 February 2024. The event aimed to showcase the impactful community service projects undertaken by the students in the Nidamanuru village adopted by the college.
