      ASSOCIATION ACTIVITIES & GUEST LECTURES

The Department of Zoology, Maris Stella College organized a guest lecturer on “Trace elements in daily life” by Dr. SriKumar., Ph.D., Department of Physics, Andhra Loyola College, Vijayawada on 27th November, 2013 
                      
The Department of Zoology  organized programme on 31st November, 2013 .The programme  was arranged in view to educate the young girl to become aware of HIV/AIDS and its related issues and how to save their lives. Dr. V. Babu Rao, Principal of P.B.Siddartha arts and Science College, Vijayawada, unlighted the students about the Immune system, Antigen and Antibody relationships.

                   2015-16 DEPARTMENTAL ACTIVITIES  On 13 th  & 14 th  of  August,  2015 Departments  of Botany , zoology and Biotechnology Organised Biological Science  Exhibition. 200 exhibits were displayed on environmental issues, disease causing agents, water analysis, Seri culture, vermincompost, soil analysis, Kolleru lake model, Instruments & various live models Displayed.                                                                               On 28 th  August ,2015 Occasion of World Malaria/Mosquito Day Department of Zoology organised awareness programme in collaboration with Malaria Department, Health Department  and VMC displayed various models charts and larval forms of different types of mosquitoes Exhibited. Dept. of Botany    Zoology    Biotechnology    organized a Biological Tour on 30-11-15 as part of the curriculum for third year B.Sc (CBZ and BIO TECH) to Poultry unit, sericulture unit, palm oil & coconut industry

AWARDS   2019 November,25 th , P.Nitya Jeeva Prada on P.D., degree was awarded to Mrs. Ph- ANTI &VANTIDIABETIC, MS PHYSIOCHEMICAL ANALYSIS –GC on DIOSPYROS ACTIVITY OF INFLAMATORY BAKH LEAF EXTRACT UNDER THE SUPERVISION (WILLD) FERREA. Faculty of natural – former dean, Prof. Vishnuvardhan .Z., Acharya Nagarjuna University.   Papers presented and published at conferences and seminars   Dr. N. Baratha Jyothi,G.Sravani and  Dr.K.Sunita  presented a paper on  “REPORT ON MORTALITY CASES OF CHILDREN ATTENDEES OF GOVERNMENT GENERAL HOSPITAL, VIJAYAWADA, ANDHRA PRADESH, INDIA” on 26 th  and 27 th  September, 2019. UGC sponsored seminar on Recent Innovations and  future  prospects in animal sciences conducted by Kakatiya University, Warangal, Telangana state, India.    Dr. N. Baratha Jyothi, Dr.K.Sunita   and Dr. P.Nitya Jeeva prada  presented a paper on 13 October 2019 from 07:30-09:30 AM in ISSHID 2019, the International Symposium on HIV and Hepatitis infectious diseases held at SRIHER,P
